Listen to The Fear

There's been a new five week course compiled by the Bishop of Sheffield, Dr Steven Croft entitled Exploring God's Mercy. The course suggests that Christians use popular songs and clips from films at the start of each session to set the tone for the theme to be discussed that week. As we approach Lent the course is supposed to allow us to explore the Bible in a new way, and what better way then to use modern technology and ways of life such as YouTube, twitter, iPods, iPads, podcasts to bring together scriptures and inspire individual prayer and group discussion.

“The depth, strength and constancy of God’s love is of course a lifetime’s journey and Exploring God’s Mercy is designed to take groups or individuals further on that journey," he said.

The course focuses on five images of salvation: the weekly sessions are entitled Lost and Found: Hungry and Satisfied; In Prison and Set Free; Sick and Made Well; Storm Tossed and Comforted; Living the Fruitful Life.

As one of the recommended songs to start sessions off with was the Lily Allen song The Fear, here you go...
